THE HOLOCAUST INDUSTRY by Norman Finkelstein

by JF

Finkelstein is an American university professor on the East Coast whose mother survived being a prisoner of the Nazi deathcamps in WWII. She was awarded a little over three thousand dollars as recompense for her suffering.

Regarding these much-reported recompenses for former Nazi Holocaust victims, there is much political broadcasting and posturing in the last couple of decades, and Finkelstein documents media manipulation and outright extortion committed by ostensible “Jewish rights organizations” like the World Council of Jews, the ADL, and the Simon Weisenthal Center who, according to Finkelstein’s facts, go around in a concerted effort, singling out one European nation at a time, and then launching an all-out international propaganda campaign designed to extort moneys from that nation, ostensibly to help the surviving victims of that holocaust, but in reality, as Finkelstein documents, these “Jewish defense organizations” then hoard most of these moneys for themselves and only give paltry trickle-down sums to the actual holocaust survivor, as evidenced by the token change that was allotted to Finkelstein’s mother. So it is a vast, international shakedown racket that these “Jewish defense organizations” have going on.

Finkelstein also shows how these crooked, self-serving organizations are inflating the numbers of the surviving victims to a point of ironic absurdity. Additionally, in another irony, Finkelstein shows how these rapacious “Jewish defense organizations” are actually themselves fomenting another great wave of “anti-semitism” throughout modern Europe.

This is a most revealing book, very incisive and iconoclastic.
About the only drawback to this book is that it can easily be, and indeed already has been, used by modern-day brownshirt-types, like the ones all across America these days, to fuel their hatred for innocent people.

A couple of other revelatory points that Finkelstein makes:
1) These “Jewish defense/rights organizations,” while actively promoting the “Jewish Holocaust,” are shamefully also engaged in the active suppression of disclosure concerning other genocidal holocausts, such as the one done to the Armenians by the Turks in WWI.
2) There are now seven museums in the United States dedicated to the “Jewish Holocaust.” Much of the their operating costs, numbering in the millions of dollars annually, is covered by American taxpayers. Finkelstein juxtaposes that real scenario against this theoretical one: What if the Germans erected a museum in their country dedicted to the remembrance of the holocaust of Native Americans committed by the United States? How would Americans feel about that? After all, Hitler unflinchingly used that earlier North American holocaust as a precedent to justify his European one.

These are the kinds of provocative, iconoclastic, penetrating questions that Finkelstein asks. This book of his, which came out around the year 2000, makes a profound impact, and this despite its relative brevity (only 120 pages or so).
